Norway Massacre
I'm finding that information about whether Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik is christian or not are conflicting and contradictory. Some say he is a self-professed xtian, and others say he is not a christian but is anti-Islam. According to some accounts he has been quoted as claiming to be 100% christian. Either way, he's still a terrorist, but is he a christian terrorist?

I contend that if there were no religion in the world, this massacre would never have happened.

“At the age of 15 I chose to be baptised [sic] and confirmed in the Norwegian State Church,” the 32-year-old Breivik wrote. “I consider myself to be 100 percent Christian.”

But he also fiercely disagrees with the politics of most Protestant churches and the Roman Catholic Church.

“Regarding my personal relationship with God, I guess I’m not an excessively religious man,” he writes. “I am first and foremost a man of logic. However, I am a supporter of a monocultural Christian Europe.”

Breivik fashions himself a “cultural Christian” and a modern-day crusader in a resurrected order of the medieval Knights Templar, riding out to do battle against squishy “multiculturalism” and the onslaught of “Islamization”—and to suffer the glory of Christian martyrdom in the process.

Anders Breivik is not Christian but anti-Islam

Norway mass murderer Anders Breivik's internet writings show him to be anti-Muslim and anti-Marxist, not a fundamentalist Christian.

The Norwegian mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik, who shot dead more than 90 young socialists at their summer camp on Friday after mounting a huge bomb attack on the centre of Oslo, has been described as a fundamentalist Christian. Yet he published enough of his thoughts on the internet to make it clear that even in his saner moments his ideology had nothing to do with Christianity but was based on an atavistic horror of Muslims and a loathing of "Marxists", by which he meant anyone to the left of Genghis Khan.

Two huge conspiracy theories form the gearboxes of his writing. The first is that Islam threatens the survival of Europe through what he calls "demographic Jihad". Through a combination of uncontrolled immigration and uncontrolled breeding, the Muslims, who cannot live at peace with their neighbours, are conquering Europe.

Has anyone read any of his manifesto?
He was a psycho terrorist and I don't think I can't bring myself to read every page of his ramblings. I would guess he's a christian like most christians, he was told he was christian by his parents.
Real Time With Bill Maher had a discussion of this very topic last night. Christians simply deny their bad acts, as they always have.

Oh, yes-- "but, he was not a Genuine Christian(tm), after all" and silly shit like that.

Reality is that which is left, after you stop believing.
Either way, his actions arose because of the transgressions of some religionn, be it christianity or islam, with neither he would have had a tough time finding the backing for his mission.
