This case, filed in Boston, differs from similar cases of the past in that the words 'under God' are being challenged as a violation of the Equal Rights Amendment. There's a poll with this article - yesterday the votes for keeping the words in far outweighed the votes to remove - but today the poll results have gone to 97% voting to remove the words and 3% voting to keep them. What an exciting change! There may still be time to vote, if anyone cares to (please do!). Personally, I don't have high hopes, but it still matters very much that the challenges continue.
